Kleif Carnarius - Cello

Kleif CarnariusKleif Carnarius was born in Bad Frankenhausen in 1993. He began his studies in Weimar in 1981-1986 with Lieselotte Pieper. He then took private studies with Peter Vogler in Berlin and received awards at the Maria Canals Competition in 1985 and the Brahms-Gesellschaft Baden-Baden in 1991.

As a soloist and chamber musician he performed in various countries of Europe and Asia and was awarded at international competitions such as Evian, Salzburg, Citta di Castello and Reggio Emilia as a member of the Quartet Nasdala. Since 1989, Kleif Carnarius plays the first cello in the Orchestra of the Komische Oper Berlin and teaches at the Music Conservatory "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin.
